We are currently seeking a Member Services Associate to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our members have a positive experience by providing outstanding customer support to Planet Fitness members, potential members, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome members, potential members, and guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
  • Manage all front desk operations, including:
    • Answering phone calls in a courteous manner and assisting with various inquiries.
    • Checking members into the system efficiently.
    • Conducting tours for prospective members.
    • Enrolling new members while accurately calculating rates and payment options.
    • Assisting the Club Manager with cash drawer reconciliation as required.
  • Facilitate necessary updates to member accounts.
  • Address member inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager when necessary.
  • Contribute to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the club by:
    • Completing daily tasks within the first hour of your shift.
    • Assisting with the priority cleaning list each day.
    • Conducting regular walk-arounds and bathroom checks.
    • Helping with special cleaning projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on club requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine passion for fitness and health.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities; capable of interacting positively and professionally with members and colleagues, consistently exceeding expectations.
  • Strong listening skills with the capacity to empathize and resolve issues.
  • Exhibit professionalism in all interactions, using appropriate language and behavior.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent standing and walking during shifts.
  • Regular communication in person or via phone.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • May encounter cleaning chemicals during shifts.
