Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Preoperative Healthcare Professional to join our team at Surgery Partners. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our preoperative care department, working closely with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

About the Role:

Your primary responsibility will be to assist in preparing patients for surgery by reviewing medical history, administering medications, and performing vitals checks. You will also collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless handovers and coordinate patient care.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages are a plus. Your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to maintain good relationships with patients, coworkers, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing patients for surgery by reviewing medical history, administering medications, and performing vitals checks.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless handovers and coordinate patient care.
  • Utilize effective communication channels to address patient concerns and provide clear instructions.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support certification is a must.
  • Prior experience in a perioperative setting is preferred but not essential.
