Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and experienced ER Registered Nurse to provide clinical expertise and ensure all patients receive high-quality, efficient care in our state-of-the-art Emergency Department. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a talented group of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care and outcomes.
Responsibilities- Manage the efficient flow of patients, including triage, screening, preparation for exam, and arranging or testing and admissions
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions
- Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders
- Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
- Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred
- American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer
- American Heart Association PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and/or ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) certifications required within 6 months of hire/transfer
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383-bed hospital located in Bradenton, FL, with a 13-acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches. We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota, and DeSoto Counties, and we have received verification by the American College of Surgeons. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement, and inpatient rehabilitation.
