The ideal candidate must have an in-depth understanding of all vehicle systems and components. Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing and repairing vehicles
- Carrying out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements
- Conducting in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes
- Creating repair estimates and timelines and conveying information to customers
- Maintaining accurate repair shop records and paperwork
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A high school diploma or GED
- An associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program
- Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification
