Job Title: Support Specialist for Medically Fragile Children

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Specialist. This role involves working one-on-one with a preschool child, providing essential support and care in a school environment.

Responsibilities:

* Shadow the child in the classroom, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

* Accompany the child to therapy sessions, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

* Respond promptly to any medical emergencies that may arise, utilizing your training and expertise to provide effective support.

* Perform various tasks as needed, adhering to the requirements of the role and the directives of your supervisor.

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

* 3-6 months of experience in a paraprofessional role, preferably working with medically fragile children.

* Trained in the use of an Epi-Pen, ensuring you can respond effectively in emergency situations.

* Willingness to work with children who have complex medical needs in a school setting.

* Must be fingerprinted by the Board of Education, with fees covered by the candidate.

* Mandated Reporter certification, ensuring you can identify and report any concerns regarding child welfare.

* Recent Quantiferon TB test and pre-employment physical exam are mandatory.

Titer tests for MMR, TDAP, and Varicella are also required.

Compensation: $19.00 per hour.
