We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Victim Advocate to join our team at Unity House of Troy. As a key member of our domestic violence shelter, you will provide vital support and services to individuals and families affected by abuse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide trauma-informed case management services to victims and their children
- Work closely with clients to locate and secure safe housing
- Offer emotional support, crisis intervention, and safety planning
- Answer domestic violence and PREA hotlines and provide referrals
- Promote a culture of inclusion and belonging
Requirements:
- One year of experience working with victims of domestic violence or a similar population
- Valid NYS driver license and reliable transportation
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
- Spanish-speaking candidates preferred but not required
