We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant to join our team at TeamHealth. As a Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical care to patients in the emergency department, including diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Conduct physical exams, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results to inform treatment decisions.
- Prescribe medications and treatments as authorized by state law and hospital policy.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements in emergency medicine to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or eligible for certification.
- 2+ years of experience as a Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine or related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
