We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor of Central Sterilization to join our team at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. As a key member of our Central Service department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our sterilization unit, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly maintained and processed.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of personnel in the Central Service department, including sterile and medical supplies and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, such as the state Department of Health and Joint Commission.
- Conduct employee competencies and oversee a team of 8-10 technicians.
- Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and quality of sterilization services.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of services.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of Central Service experience.
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterilization and Processing (CBSPD).
