About the Role

Merrick & Company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process/Chemical Engineering student for a paid summer internship in our Nuclear Services and Technology group.

This opportunity will provide an undergraduate or graduate student with the chance to gain technical experience in the field of Process/Chemical engineering by working on actual projects for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver high-quality projects
  • Interface with clients and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Develop and maintain process engineering items, including P&ID drawings and process simulation
  • Conduct engineering calculations and provide technical support as needed
Requirements
  • Pursuing an engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited program
  • Currently enrolled and entering junior year or higher of undergraduate degree or currently enrolled in grad school
  • Knowledge of fluid dynamics and heat transfer principles and calculations
  • U.S. Citizenship required for client projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
  • Exposure to PFD and P&ID drawing
  • Local candidates strongly preferred
