Job Summary

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Cardiopulmonary team. As a CNA, you will provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a RN or physician. You will assist patients with activities of daily living, provide personal care, and perform more complex clinical skills under the supervision of a RN.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide personal care, including toileting, feeding, and transferring patients.
  • Perform more complex clinical skills, such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and providing wound care.
  • Communicate with providers and team members about changes in patient's clinical condition and needs of the patients family.
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care services that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care.
Requirements
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant Certification in the State of Maine required.
  • Active on the State of Maine CNA registry required.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS within 6 months of hire required.
  • 1 year of continuous CNA experience preferred.
  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
