Teller - Everett

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Teller to join our team at Mass Bay Credit Union. As a Teller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional member service, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate records.

1. Member Service: Greet and welcome members in a courteous and professional manner, referring them to appropriate staff as needed.
2. Transaction Processing: Process a variety of savings and related transactions, including receiving deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and mortgage payments, under the supervision of the assigned supervisor and within the limits of established Credit Union policy.
3. Cash Handling: Receive share drafts/checks and cash for deposit to accounts, verify amounts, examine share drafts/checks for proper endorsement, and enter deposits into computer records.
4. Disbursing Currency: Disburse currency to members, verifying accuracy in the computer system.
5. Account Maintenance: Accountable for balance of cash draw at the end of the day that compares with computer-generated proof sheet, without exception. Researches and resolves any balance discrepancies.
6. Product Knowledge: Informs members of credit union products and services, explaining features and benefits, and cross-sells products and services when appropriate and within scope of responsibility.
7. Communication: Answers phones and routes calls to appropriate personnel and/or takes messages.

1. Education: Position requires education equivalent to a four-year high school education.
2. Skills: Professional and pleasant interpersonal and communication skills are essential for serving members, cross-selling products, and projecting a positive image as representative of the Credit Union.
3. Mathematical Skills: Intermediate mathematical skill required (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, percentages, interest).
4. Physical Demands: Position requires standing or sitting for the majority of the day, as well as lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds when moving coin and cash drawer.
