We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Front Line Leader for our Hot Stretch Department.
Position Summary
The Production Front Line Leader plays a crucial role in overseeing the production operations during their shift. This position entails managing production output, resource allocation, and reporting functions associated with the manufacturing process. Responsibilities include monitoring time and attendance, waste management, production KPIs, operator training, and documentation of disciplinary actions, which must be conducted in collaboration with a manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular meetings with fellow shift leaders to discuss ongoing activities and requirements.
- Oversee shift expenditures (labor, supplies, and parts) to ensure adherence to budgetary goals.
- Evaluate machine and personnel performance (efficiency, waste, and production metrics) to achieve production targets.
- Assist in implementing changes to the production schedule as directed by the Department Manager.
- Perform safety audits and review findings with the Department Manager.
- Monitor hourly personnel performance to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Maintain daily production metrics.
- Support the coordination and execution of 5S activities to promote organization and cleanliness.
- Complete necessary shift reports, including absenteeism and roll counts.
- Operate machinery as needed.
- Adhere to all plant safety regulations and participate in required safety training sessions.
- Fulfill any additional duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager.
Basic Qualifications
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
- Continental is unable to provide relocation assistance for this position.
- Proficient in computer use.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED).
