Host/Hostess

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess at Denny's. As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a seamless dining experience.

• Greet and welcome customers immediately upon arrival, verifying the number in their party and determining any special needs
• Collect payment from customers in accordance with established cash handling procedures and handle customer complaints/suggestions appropriately
• Seat customers at tables/booths appropriate for their needs and those of the restaurant
• Handle incoming phone calls promptly
• Maintain a proper supply of menus and ensure they are clean and in good repair
• Provide customers with initial beverage orders and refill their beverages when possible
• Assist service personnel in cleaning and setting tables as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized waiting area and register area
• Must be courteous, friendly, and present a professional image at all times
• Embody and promote company values

• Must be able to observe and differentiate between monetary denominations
• Simple math skills required
• Ability to communicate well with guests
• Must have sufficient mobility to move and/or operate in the work area
• Must meet any state, county, or municipal regulations pertaining to health risk concerns about food handling
• Must immediately inform management of any safety hazards, equipment problems, or complaints from guests, or other employees
• Must maintain a professional image at all times
• Must complete all video training, anti-discrimination & anti-harassment training, and comply with Denny's nondiscrimination policies
