Position Overview:

We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Information Security Engineer to enhance our team. The successful candidate will oversee the monitoring and upkeep of the organization's cybersecurity framework, enforce security protocols, and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations. This position demands robust technical knowledge, strategic insight, and exceptional communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures to protect the organization's systems, networks, and data.
  • Perform regular security evaluations and audits to detect vulnerabilities and propose corrective measures.
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus applications.
  • Analyze security logs and alerts for unusual activities and respond to security incidents promptly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security best practices into software development and infrastructure deployment processes.
  • Remain informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to proactively address risks.
  • Offer guidance and support to internal teams on security-related issues, including incident response, data protection, and access management.
  • Conduct security awareness training and workshops for employees to foster a culture of security consciousness and compliance.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and third-party vendors to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on cybersecurity metrics, incidents, and compliance status to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a technical cybersecurity role, focusing on designing and implementing security solutions in complex environments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices, including network security, encryption, authentication, and access control.
  • Practical experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to assess security incidents, evaluate risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Capacity to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in a remote or distributed team setting is advantageous.
