About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology and radiation therapy, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for administering ionizing radiation to patients as prescribed by physicians, in accordance with established standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients, ensuring accuracy and precision in each delivery.Collaborate with physicists, planners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.Provide exceptional patient care, addressing concerns and answering questions in a compassionate and informative manner.Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, adhering to departmental protocols and regulatory requirements.Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in radiation therapy techniques and technologies.Requirements:
- Degree from an AMA-approved program in Radiation Therapy Technology or Radiologic Technology.
- Registration as a Radiation Therapy Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Licensure in Radiation Therapy Technology within the state of Maryland.
- 1+ year of clinical practice in Radiation Therapy preferred.
