We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Infusion Center team at Beacon Health System. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Implement the nursing plan of care, utilizing critical thinking skills and the teach-back method to ensure patient understanding and participation in health promotion and maintenance.
- Administer medications, monitor IV and blood transfusions, and perform routine treatments and procedures in an Infusion center setting.
- Perform phlebotomy as directed by the needs of the department and maintain accurate patient records and charts.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care and participate in shift briefs, debriefs, and huddles to improve communication and teamwork.
- Participate in the review and evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of nursing care and contribute to process improvement activities.
- Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Indiana.
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of job-related experience, preferably in an Infusion Center setting.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing patient situations.
