As a pivotal member of our engineering team, the HVAC Systems Engineer will be responsible for the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems within commercial HVAC frameworks across various facilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. **Leadership and Supervision**
- Provide formal oversight to team members, ensuring effective training and development.
- Conduct performance assessments and offer coaching to enhance team capabilities.
- Manage the recruitment and onboarding processes for new personnel.
2. **Team Coordination**
- Organize and direct daily activities of the engineering team.
- Develop work schedules, assign responsibilities, and facilitate cross-training initiatives.
- Monitor and track departmental deadlines and objectives.
3. **System Maintenance and Repair**
- Execute maintenance, operation, and repair tasks for HVAC systems and related equipment, including electrical and plumbing systems.
- Conduct inspections of HVAC and plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with design specifications.
- Address emergency situations promptly, coordinating additional support as necessary.
4. **Proactive Management**
- Analyze historical maintenance data to create a proactive inspection and preventive maintenance schedule.
- Identify and resolve both routine and complex issues within existing systems and processes.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Proven experience in staffing, training, and performance management is advantageous.
- Strong leadership skills to enhance team performance and operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Compensation
CBRE offers a competitive salary structure, with a minimum hourly rate of $35.00 and a maximum of $37.50, contingent upon the candidate's qualifications and experience.
