We are seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN to join our team at Elliot Hospital, specializing in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This role is essential for providing high-quality care to patients with cardiac conditions.
Certification Requirements- Certifications Required: ACLS, BCLS, EKG Test upon arrival
- ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- BLS: Basic Life Support
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit specifics.
- Contract length: Options available for extended contracts.
- Availability during major winter holidays is required.
- Flexible scheduling: Choose between 3x12 or 4x12 shifts.
- Minimum experience: 2 years in a PCU setting within the last year.
- First-time travelers are welcome with EPIC experience and the required experience.
- Patient care will include a variety of cases: Medical, Surgical, Trauma, Oncology, and Orthopedic.
- Position/Specialty: PCU - Cardiac
- Patient Ratios: 1:5
- Weekend Commitment: Every other weekend
- On-call Duties: Not required
- Floating: Required to similar units as necessary
- Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed, but attempts will be made to accommodate
- Pending Licenses: Accepted
- RTO Restrictions: Must work a minimum of two out of three major winter holidays if contracted during that period.
- Special Requirements: EPIC experience is mandatory.
- Shift options: 3x12 or 4x12, depending on contract specifics.
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
- Preferred Skills: CPI, Sheath Removal, Care of Ventilated Patients
- Common Patient Diagnoses: Chest Pain, Syncope, Heart Failure, Sepsis, Overdose, GI Bleed, COPD, Pneumonia
- Special Procedures: S/p Cath with stent only, ICD/Pacer insertions, Cardioversions
- Local Candidates: Accepted with a local radius rule.
- RTO Restrictions: Holiday work requirements will depend on unit availability.
