Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our Primary Care service line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Collect and document patient data, including vital signs and medical histories
  • Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including phlebotomy and glucometer testing
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Connecticut
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience as an LPN in a Primary Care setting
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and other healthcare software
