Johnson Service Group is seeking a highly qualified individual for the role of Director of Peptide Chemistry R&D. This pivotal position will be based in a dynamic environment focused on advancing peptide research.
The Director will be responsible for steering the Peptide Research Department, managing peptide design, synthesis, and various research initiatives while fostering collaboration with international teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and supervise the Peptide Research Department, ensuring excellence in project execution.
2. Provide strategic leadership by establishing objectives, inspiring the team, and mentoring new personnel.
3. Innovate peptide designs and tackle synthesis challenges effectively.
4. Coordinate research activities across global chemistry teams.
5. Direct integrated service projects for clients utilizing company resources.
6. Compile reports and strategic recommendations based on research findings.
7. Guide the advancement of novel chemical technologies in peptide drug research.
8. Disseminate research results through publications, reports, and presentations at conferences.
9. Collaborate with diverse stakeholders and external partners.
10. Partner with Business Development to attract new, high-value clientele.
Qualifications:
Proven track record in drug discovery, demonstrated through publications, patents, or IND filings.
Strong leadership capabilities, including strategic planning, budgeting, and team development.
Proficient in resolving complex scientific challenges and crafting innovative solutions.
Strategic decision-making aptitude, evaluating costs and benefits to determine optimal strategies.
Commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in problem-solving.
Exceptional communication skills, fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous.
Creative mindset for generating original ideas and addressing challenges.
Educational Background:
PhD in Peptide Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Desired Attributes:
Detail-oriented, proactive, resilient, innovative, and flexible.
Compensation:
Salary range of $185,000 to $205,000.
