Job Summary:

As a General Merchandise Clerk at Tops Friendly Markets, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Your duties will include stocking shelves, cleaning the store, and ensuring that all products are properly displayed and rotated.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide friendly and attentive customer service to all customers
  • Maintain proper shelf, case, and display conditions, including stocking, cleaning, straightening, and rotating product
  • Ensure safe and clean floor conditions, including sweeping, mopping, and clearing of any unsafe conditions
  • Maintain clean and orderly backroom conditions by organizing grocery area, making bales, stacking pallets, etc.

Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
