Job Summary

The Mechanical Integration Specialist is a critical team member responsible for assembling and integrating heavy equipment. This role involves working with a team of specialists who prepare tanks, engines, and other components for assembly. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating encasements that hold large backup power generators, ensuring our clients' businesses can operate smoothly during power outages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all generator exhaust piping, fuel lines, air lines, and hydraulic lines.
  • Install fuel-related components, such as air tubes, air breathers/heat shields, shunt lines, fuel polishers, dosing systems, urea supply systems, urea tanks, and urea tank insulation.
  • Install various generator-related components, including isolators, battery racks, power control boxes, engine rails, and oil/water/air compressor drain lines.
  • Prepare and install radiator components, such as coolant lines, radiator brackets, and fill with coolant.
  • Fully integrate unit housing and generator with tank, including bolting down the generator and housing unit to the tank.
  • Assist with the rigging of the house and generator for crane lift, requiring knowledge of hand signals.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years' experience in Mechanical Integration or similar work.
  • Familiar with reading blueprints.
  • Experience driving a forklift.
  • Familiar with welding and plumbing.
  • Good math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Must wear PPE, including protective eyewear and hearing protection.
  • Have reliable attendance and be respectful and responsible at work.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong communication skills and awareness of others in movement.
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm.
  • Able to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Quickly and accurately analyze and solve technical problems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when moving materials.
  • Ability to work in all-weather conditions.
  • Ability to maintain a safe perimeter and signal crane operator.
  • Perform work tasks with little or no supervision.
