Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Employee Benefits Actuary/Underwriter to join our client account team. This key role involves working closely with consultants and producers to deliver top-notch client service.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with various projects and guide clients in managing all financial aspects of their health and welfare benefits plans.
  • Lead and support financial modeling, budgeting, and renewal projections while reviewing and monitoring ongoing plan performance.
  • Analyze data, conduct due diligence for new business efforts, and support internal processes to deliver client-facing services.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal teams, external partners, including clients, insurance carriers, and vendors.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Pennsylvania Life and Health License (preferred and maintained as current)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proven history of self-direction, creativity, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite, with expert knowledge of Excel
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is around $110,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. Alera Group offers comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, 401(k), generous paid time off, and more.
