Rheumatology Specialist

**About the Role**

Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) is seeking a skilled Rheumatology Specialist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with rheumatic diseases and other complex health issues.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal medicine and board certification in rheumatology. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team.

**Responsibilities**

• Provide evidence-based direct patient care, including comprehensive clinical assessments, diagnoses, planning, and treatment of rheumatic diseases and other complex health issues.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated care, ensuring timely, high-quality, customer-focused care that utilizes resources effectively.
• Foster a culture of quality and excellence, adhering to established documentation practices and maintaining accurate medical records.
• Participate in educational activities, staying current with evidence-based standards of medical care for specialty areas.

**Requirements**

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
• Current license to practice medicine in the state of Illinois.
• Board certification or board eligibility in internal medicine and rheumatology.
• Active DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License.
