Job Title: Engineering Technology/Mechatronics Adjunct Faculty

Job Summary

Virginia Western Community College seeks a part-time Engineering Technology/Mechatronics Adjunct Faculty member. The successful candidate will teach college-level courses in-person on the main campus, or a hybrid class where lectures are online and labs are in-person on the main campus.

Responsibilities

- Maintain currency in teaching disciplines and trends in community college education
- Be an active participant in departmental communication
- Teach college-level courses in-person or hybrid format

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of two (2) years of related occupational experience
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to write syllabi and exams, develop learning strategies, curriculum, and assessments

Preferred Qualifications

- Master's degree in Engineering
- Teaching experience at the college level
- OSHA Outreach Training Program completion within the last 5 years for teaching OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifications in General Industry or Construction
