Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated Shuttle Drivers to provide essential transportation services for a prominent medical institution. This role involves driving local routes to facilitate the movement of hospital personnel between their designated parking areas and the facility.

Work Schedule

Full-time positions are available with a flexible schedule. Candidates should be prepared to work mornings and/or evenings, with some shifts being straight and others split. While the schedule may evolve into a more consistent routine, initial flexibility is crucial.

Compensation and Benefits

Shuttle drivers will receive a starting wage of $23/hour, with weekly pay. Full-time employees are eligible for health and dental insurance after a specified period, along with paid vacation following one year of service. Opportunities for career advancement are also available.

Vehicle and Equipment

The shuttle fleet consists of modern, well-maintained 24-passenger vehicles that are regularly cleaned and serviced.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of a Shuttle Driver include, but are not limited to:

  1. Welcoming passengers courteously and providing assistance as needed.
  2. Safely transporting customers to various locations.
  3. Opening and closing doors for passengers.
  4. Observing all traffic regulations to ensure safe shuttle operations.
  5. Effectively communicating with passengers and team members, including radio communication with management and other drivers.
  6. Conducting required pre-trip inspections to comply with safety standards.
  7. Documenting passenger counts and trip durations.
  8. Completing necessary operational paperwork.
  9. Assisting with the setup and breakdown of equipment such as signs and cones.
  10. Maintaining cleanliness by sweeping shuttles and removing debris.
  11. Reporting any mechanical issues with the vehicles to management.
  12. Adhering to company policies regarding shuttle operations.
Qualifications

Applicants must be at least 20 years old and possess customer service experience. A valid NY Class B CDL with a passenger endorsement and a medical card are mandatory. Background checks and driving assessments will be conducted.
