Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Vontier. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the prepping, assembly, testing, and/or packing of a variety of electrical, mechanical, and/or electro-mechanical devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use a variety of tools, gages, machines, and simple measuring devices to assure proper conformance to specifications and drawings.
  • Perform assembly, finishing, testing, and packing operations and adjust process or product for proper appearance, mechanical, and/or electrical function.
  • Follow clearly defined process sheets, verbal instructions, visual aids, assembly instruction machinery or model, and perform specified assembly procedure on a production basis.
  • Operate forklift or other material handling devices as needed.
  • Complete orders on time and to the required specification.
  • Makes changes and adjustments to tools, machines, and fixtures.
  • Rejects defective material.
  • Handles material as directed to ensure an uninterrupted flow of work.
  • Advises on better means to complete the functions within the job and continually improves the operation.
  • Lifts and transports light, medium, and heavy assemblies, plus lifting and transporting containers of component parts on occasion.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Responsible for daily clean-up and maintenance of workstation.
