Job Title: Infant/Toddler Leader

At Child Development Centers Inc., we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infant/Toddler Leader to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Infant/Toddler Leader is responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children from birth to two years old. This role requires a strong commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement weekly lesson plans that align with The Creative Curriculum and foster individual growth and development.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of each child by responding to their emotional, social, educational, and physical needs.
  • Assist children with daily activities, including eating, diapering, and handwashing.
  • Engage children in activities that encourage learning and promote development.
  • Clean and maintain the classroom environment, adhering to required regulations.
  • Use developmentally appropriate language and respond to children in a positive tone.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Monitor and document the development of each child.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding their child's development, behavior, and educational goals.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working directly with children; infant/toddler experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Patience, caring, and kind demeanor
  • Proper attendance and punctuality

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods, with intermittent sitting, walking, and occasional bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and grasping
  • Dexterity requirements for coordinated movements of fingers and hands, and simple movements of feet, legs, and torso
  • Lifting and carrying of children and/or objects up to 50 pounds
