We are excited to present an opportunity for a full-time Hospitalist Admitter within the Department of Medicine. This role is designed for a dedicated physician to oversee the care of admitted patients in a collaborative environment.

Position Overview:

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing patients admitted to the hospitalist service, working closely with a diverse team of specialists and consultants. The primary focus will be on providing high-quality inpatient care, coordinating with emergency department staff, and ensuring seamless transitions for patients returning to outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the inpatient care of patients, ensuring comprehensive management.
  • Collaborate with emergency department physicians and intensivists for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Facilitate effective communication with case managers, social workers, and other support staff.
  • Engage in patient and family discussions regarding care planning and transitions.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will possess an MD/DO or equivalent degree and be board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. The role requires a commitment to a team-based approach to patient care and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
