Work hours typically span from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, primarily during weekdays, with occasional weekend and holiday duties.

Position Overview
UK Healthcare is in search of a dedicated pharmacist to oversee outpatient infusion programs.

The pharmacist will engage in clinical interventions, which encompass patient education, pharmacokinetic monitoring, anticoagulation management, immunosuppressant oversight, drug information dissemination, and cost-effective care assessments. Direct patient interaction and collaboration with pharmacy residents and students are integral to this role.

This position is primarily situated in the adult outpatient infusion environment (including both oncology and non-oncology patients) and involves responsibilities such as order verification, supervision of sterile hazardous compounding in line with USP 797/800 standards, and teamwork with nursing and medical staff regarding medication administration.

Additional Responsibilities
The program coordinator will also manage pharmacy and therapeutics (P&T) subcommittee activities, oversee risk evaluation and mitigation strategies (REMS), coordinate supply chain logistics, and lead staff education initiatives.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication abilities, possess knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations, and have a solid understanding of pharmacy information systems and automation. Familiarity with pharmacy and healthcare regulations and standards is also essential.

Supervisory Role
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Preferred Education and Experience
Completion of PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency is preferred, along with 3-4 years of relevant experience.
