Airspace/Aviation Expert Wanted

We are seeking an Airspace/Aviation Expert to work in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Anchorage TRACON (A11) in Alaska.

The ideal candidate will provide support in reviewing proposed airspace changes and their impact on the National Airspace System (NAS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze impacts of proposed airspace changes on current NAS uses in Anchorage TRACON Airspace.
  • Assist with developing an integrated method for air traffic movement in Anchorage Terminal Airspace.
  • Prepare draft agreements between affected Air Traffic facilities.
  • Develop requirements for Automation updates to accommodate airspace procedure changes.
  • Develop requirements for Communications equipment and Information Display Equipment (IDS).
  • Provide recommendations for workload divisions with new Air Traffic Control positions and Sectors.
  • Develop Airspace training scenarios.
  • Prepare briefing presentations for Senior FAA and USAF Management.

This position requires approximately 25% travel.

Requirements:
  • Certified Professional Controller (CPC) designation with Terminal and/or TRACON experience.
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability.

We offer a competitive salary range of $89,700 - $162,150 per year.
