About the Position

Rubix Recruiting is seeking a highly experienced DevOps Architect to join our team. As a key member of our DevOps team, you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering dev and hosting products that impact the globe.

You'll work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with our talented group of open source developers to create successful and sustainable products. Your primary focus will be on maintaining 24x7 uptime on public cloud infrastructure and responding to outages for clients with managed hosting and self-hosting.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop dev and hosting products using cloud-native technologies.
  2. Maintain production Kubernetes clusters for high availability and scalability.
  3. Contribute to logging, networking, monitoring, security, and disaster recovery solutions.
  4. Troubleshoot complex systems, networks, and code issues.
  5. Manage Linux-based servers (CoreOS experience a plus) for optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Experience managing production Kubernetes clusters with a focus on reliability and scalability.
  • Fluency in one programming language (Python, GoLang, or Ruby) with expertise in cloud computing.
  • DevOps, SRE, or Systems Operations knowledge with a strong understanding of system troubleshooting and monitoring.
  • Experience with containers and system performance optimization.
Bonus Experience
  • Federated Kubernetes clusters with large cloud hosting providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Load Balancers and messaging technologies for distributed systems.

The estimated salary for this position is $135,000 - $165,000 per year, based on location and experience.
