Iridium is seeking a highly motivated Software Development Engineer with a passion for Satellite Communication Technology and a drive to work in a fast-paced agile environment.

As a Software Development Engineer, you will participate in assignments, focusing on design, coding, and testing key technologies in the Iridium Gateway.

Your fresh perspective and innovative thinking will be key to driving our technology forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn about Satellite Communications and how voice and data services are supported through the Iridium Gateway
  • Work with other team members in the implementation, build, and verification activities and help troubleshoot issues to resolution
  • Perform software development using a variety of cutting-edge tools (e.g. Jira for task management, GitLab for CI/CD, and Confluence for documentation)
  • Apply software engineering best practices and processes in the development of software in the Iridium Gateway

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and software development skills
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and professional demeanor
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
