Agricultural Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Specialist to join our team at GROWMARK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering products to customers, communicating sales leads, and custom applying fertilizers and crop protection products.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver products to customers according to company standards and increase potential sales.
- Communicate sales leads to supervisors and blend products according to recommended rates and procedures.
- Apply crop production inputs to fields and growing crops according to recommended rates, procedures, and following all pesticide labels.
- Record application data according to regulations and standards, and be responsible for inventory control and application records.
- Walk through fields, examine plants, and detect presence of weeds, insects, or disease, and record and report results of counts.
- Collect soil samples using proper procedures and record soil sample information for proper identification and analysis.
- Set up material handling, blending, storage, transport, and application equipment for blending and delivery of products, and repair and rebuild equipment as needed.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, and 2 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to safely operate sprayers, floaters, single or tandem axle trucks, and other equipment.
- Demonstrated core competencies including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
- A CDL and a satisfactory driving record, and the ability to obtain and maintain all required pesticide or fertilizer licenses or certifications in states where crop production inputs are applied.
Occasionally exposed to extreme weather conditions, noisy conditions, and working conditions that may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards, requiring utilization of appropriate safety measures.
