Job Description & Requirements

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at a hospital in Tacoma, Washington.

  • Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Discipline: Allied Health Professional
  • Shift: 12 hours, nights
  • Employment Type: Travel

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of respiratory care procedures and patient safety protocols. They will be responsible for evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, and providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.

  • Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
  • BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients, and families

Candidates must possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail, with a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety. Being compassionate and sensitive is a prerequisite for the profession.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluating patient and recommends a treatment plan
  • Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions
  • Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes
  • Performing timely and accurate documentation
  • Promoting continuous quality improvement
  • Teaching and counseling patients/families
