Shift: Nights, 7p-7a, 12x4, 48hrs per week, EOW, No Call

Length: 18 weeks

Requirements:

  • SD License
  • 2 years of ICU experience
  • If they have 1.5 years of ICU experience excluding travel and have significant RN experience outside of ICU
  • Experience with IV medications (vasopressors, sedation, paralytics), hemodynamic lines, proning, ventilator management, telemetry, strong critical thinking and assessment skills, working well in team setting, comfortable in fast pace setting with all critical patients.
  • Minimum 1 prior travel assignment
  • Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
  • TNCC
  • Epic experience
  • Travel experience is most preferred
  • Cardiac experience is preferred (not required)
  • Post op experience is preferred but not required for travelers
  • Impella, IABP and CRRT – strongly preferred

Other Details:

  • Charting System: EPIC required for ED & ICU
  • Travelers must live 100 miles away from the facility
  • ICU RN qualified to float to ED
  • Beds: 39 – MICU, SICU, CICU, TICU – mixed unit
  • Patient Ratios: RN: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 (rare) – acuity dependent
  • Patient Types: Complex ICU patients ranging from surgical, medical, cardiac (preferred), neuro and trauma
