Job Summary:

The Assistant Athletic Trainer will work directly with students and help with the maintenance, assessment, rehabilitation, and evaluation of student-athletes' health, injuries, and other medical conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with oversight of operation and maintenance of Athletic Training Room
  • Serve as a resource for referrals, injury assessment, and on-site attention for student-athletes
  • Assist with injury prevention and rehabilitation for student-athletes
  • Oversee the safety conditions of the facility or area in which activity is conducted or students are located at all times that members are present
  • Serve as first respondent for all home athletic events when the need for medical attention arises
  • Serve as site manager for various home athletic events
  • Serve as adjunct staff member of both Wellness and Athletic Department programs

Requirements:

  • Board Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and Commonwealth of MA Licensure (LATC)
  • First Aid and CPR Teaching Certification
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, Master's Degree preferred
  • Experience working with adolescents

Working Conditions:

Work hours will vary by week, and include night and weekend work.
