Job Title: Dispensary LPN

The Camas Health Recovery Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dispensary LPN to join our team. As a Dispensary LPN, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our clients.

Job Summary:

The Dispensary LPN is responsible for ensuring the integrity of our clinic's properties and adhering to all clinic policies and procedures. This includes ensuring the security of medications, patient records, and other documentation required by regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dispense medications in accordance with clinic procedures
  • Record all doses dispensed and account for all medication used during the Dispensary shift
  • Monitor charts for dose discrepancies and take corrective action when needed
  • Participate in all meetings as requested or required and provide data as needed by the team for inclusion in medical treatment plans
  • Monitor tuberculosis testing for all patients and assigned units, including making outside referrals when appropriate
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local rules, laws, and regulations and maintain compliance
  • Knowledge and compliance with HIPAA policies and procedures
  • Participate in Federal and State substance abuse training and continuing education as needed to safely and effectively perform in the position
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current Washington State Nurses License
  • LPN with a medications license
  • Coursework in the behavioral sciences is desired, however previous experience with drug abuse treatment is not required
  • Work experience in the behavioral sciences field and in the area of chemical dependency treatment is desired

The Dispensary LPN will work in a fast-paced environment with high-stress situations and conditions. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, and outside contacts from a wide variety of ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds is essential.
