**Primary Purpose of Position**

This role requires a highly skilled engineer to perform advanced technical problem-solving in support of power plant operations. The successful candidate will act as a resource and technical expert to engineers, responsible for technical decisions and possessing excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application.

**Primary Duties and Accountabilities**

• Provide technical support for the operations and maintenance of gas turbines and combustion turbines in the Mid-Atlantic region.

• Develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs.

• Provide technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.

• Directly fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs that impact site operations.

• Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision, applying engineering principles.

• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, proper configuration management, and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes.

• Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.

**Minimum Qualifications**

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 7+ years of professional experience.

• Completion of assigned skills and knowledge development training to develop expert-level knowledge in designated areas.

**Preferred Qualifications**

• Gas turbine experience.

• DCS/PLC controls experience.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor other engineers in key knowledge and skills.
