Job Overview

This role is instrumental in maintaining a high level of fresh meat production while ensuring excellent customer service, product quality, freshness, and selection. You will maintain the cleanliness of the department and equipment, consistently providing friendly and courteous customer service to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and engage with customers, taking care of their needs and exceeding expectations.
  • Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness, focusing on fast, friendly, and courteous customer service.
  • Engage in suggestive selling and other sales techniques to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Cut, grind, and wrap fresh meat products according to quality and freshness standards.
  • Stock and rotate products to ensure optimal display and appeal.
  • Prevent shrink and control expenses, adhering to company regulations and policies.
  • Ensure proper merchandising of products, signing, inventory levels, and eye-appeal of the department.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, equipment, cutting room, and retail cases according to company policy and law.
Requirements
  • Ability to provide consistent, friendly, and courteous service to internal and external customers.
  • Work varied hours primarily between 5:00 am and 11:00 pm in a 24/7 operation, including night, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform visual inspections, read production guides, and product labels.
  • Properly use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturers' guidelines and instructions.
  • Properly handle food products per State and County laws and WinCo standards.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and follow written work assignments/instructions.
  • Reach, lift, and maneuver objects up to approximately 80 lbs frequently.
  • Push and pull fully loaded handtrucks and pallet jacks.
  • Perform repetitious arm and hand movements required for cutting, slicing, and processing meat products.
  • Stand for long periods, walk, move rapidly, bend, twist, and turn frequently.
  • Operate related equipment listed below with manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Additional Requirements
  • Food Handlers Certification (Per State Laws)
Estimated Salary Range:

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
