This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Lockheed Martin team as an Avionics & Instrument Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining, modifying, inspecting, and troubleshooting the cutting-edge F-35 aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Engage in all facets of F-35 maintenance, including routine checks and troubleshooting.
- Dive into aircraft modification projects, bringing experimental technologies from the blueprint phase to operational reality.
- Master the art of wire repair and avionic troubleshooting, ensuring the F-35 remains at the pinnacle of operational readiness.
- Participate in the development of groundbreaking technologies, including software, hardware, and advanced 5th Generation integration testing, directly impacting the future of aviation.
- Be at the forefront of F-35 related testing, playing a pivotal role within both Aeronautics and Engineering & Technology sectors.
- Contribute to the enterprise-leading efforts in testing F-35 B/C models for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, directly enhancing the capabilities of our warfighters.
- Lead in the realms of software improvement, testing, and deployment, ensuring the F-35 remains at the apex of 5th Generation technological advancement.

- 3-5 years of broad hands-on working experience in a 5 or 7 skill level USAF AFSC, Navy NEC, or USMC MOS Avionics Systems Craftsman discipline or equivalent commercial experience.
- Experience with all facets of wire/connector repair, to include evaluation and testing.
- Experience with reading/interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and maintenance instructions.
- Experience with Maintenance Information Systems such as Electronic Maintenance Instructions and Aircraft Forms Documentation.
- Experience with Safety, Tool Control, FOD, Supply, HAZMAT, Training, Quality, and Security programs.
- F-35/F-22 experience highly desirable.
- Previous flight test aircraft maintenance experience.
- Aircraft Instrumentation electrical systems desired.
- Coax troubleshooting/repair.
- Advanced test equipment proficiency.
- Data-bus knowledge and troubleshooting.
- Fiber Optic Experience.
- JEDI Experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to support customer requested business travel.
- Ability to acquire and maintain customer required qualifications within projected training timeline.
