We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our AWM Mutual Fund Controllers team in Jersey City. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting process, establishing accounting policies, and performing financial statement analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the financial reporting process with external legal counsel, auditors, and funds' accounting agents.
- Establish and monitor financial control frameworks, both internally and externally.
- Perform large-scale analytical procedures on various fund metrics.
- Ensure accuracy of Fund Net Asset Values via control governance of external accounting agents.
- Oversight and coordination of funds' major treasury functions.
- Analysis of funds' dividends and insight into organizational factors that impact these amounts.
- Assist with setting fund fees in accordance with the firm's pricing philosophy.
- Prepare written materials for Board of Trustees and senior management on recurring and ad-hoc basis.
- Drive strategic process change and new/enhanced capabilities by partnering with Technology.
- Liaison with portfolio management, tax, legal, and sales teams on new product development and existing fund requirements.
- Basic financial product knowledge and general market awareness.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
- Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications; knowledge of analytical tools such as Tableau and Qlik a plus.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CFA preferred).
