Nemours Children's Health Delaware is seeking a skilled Nurse Manager to lead the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric cardiology and experience in managing a high-acuity unit. The CICU Nurse Manager will be responsible for providing 24/7 leadership support to the CICU nurses, ensuring excellent patient care and outcomes. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Nursing or a related field and at least five years of clinical experience, preferably in pediatrics. The Nurse Manager will also have knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice, as well as management theory and change process. The position requires previous management experience, with a focus on strategic planning, quality improvement, and evidence-based care. The successful candidate will be a mentor and advocate for excellent patient care, working closely with the Cardiac Operating Room, Cardiac Catherization Laboratory, and Cardiac Stepdown teams. The CICU Nurse Manager will participate in departmental and hospital programs for quality and improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services and implementing actions as appropriate.
