  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Conduct imaging and therapeutic procedures in alignment with the Radiology Department's objectives.
    • Ensure the production of high-quality diagnostic images utilizing advanced imaging technology.
    • Adjust exposure parameters to achieve optimal image clarity while minimizing radiation exposure.
    • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to imaging practices.
    • Provide patient education regarding radiographic processes.
  • Qualifications:
    • Graduation from an accredited Radiography program.
    • ARRT certification in Radiography (must be obtained within six months of employment).
    • Valid state licensure in West Virginia.
    • Basic Life Support certification required within the first month of employment.
  • Physical Demands:
    • Ability to differentiate shades of gray in imaging outputs.
    • Capability to stand, walk, and wear protective lead gear during procedures.
    • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Work Environment:
    • Exposure to minimal radiation in accordance with safety protocols.
    • Potential exposure to airborne particles and bodily fluids.
    • Operation of imaging machinery with moving components.
  • Skills Required:
    • Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
    • Flexibility in adapting imaging techniques based on patient needs.
