Position Summary:

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is accountable for overseeing the retail warehouse's functionality. This facility manages the receipt and distribution of merchandise for our retail operations. Responsibilities include stock redistribution, processing requisitions from retail locations, implementing price adjustments, and managing shipping and receiving activities. Adherence to the company's mission and values is essential, along with a solid understanding of our management systems and policies regarding hospitality, environmental stewardship, and health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular meetings with warehouse staff to ensure effective communication.
  • Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, data entry, order fulfillment, auditing, shipping, and returns.
  • Maintain efficient product flow and ensure accuracy in processing.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between warehouse and retail locations.
  • Perform annual performance evaluations for team members.
  • Ensure the organization and upkeep of warehouse facilities.
  • Monitor staff accountability in terms of attendance, punctuality, productivity, and safety.
  • Coordinate the maintenance of delivery vehicles with the maintenance team.
  • Guarantee the safety and security of the warehouse and delivery operations, minimizing theft risks.
  • Manage payroll processes for warehouse staff.
  • Foster positive relationships with internal teams, store management, and other departments.
  • Develop and maintain innovative tools for staff motivation and accountability.
  • Encourage professional development among hourly staff to promote retention and growth.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Oversee shipping operations and coordinate merchandise requisitions with the buying team.
  • Assist store operations as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in retail management is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Experience with Retail Point-of-Sale systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
