Job Title: Registered Nurse-ICU

At UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team. As a Registered Nurse-ICU, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

About the Role:

The Registered Nurse-ICU serves as a leader of the healthcare team by establishing a personalized relationship with patients and their support systems. You will collaborate with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care that promote optimal health.

Responsibilities:
  • Acts with patient advocacy when implementing the interdisciplinary plan of care.
  • Collaborates with healthcare team to educate patients and their support systems.
  • Analyzes, modifies, and implements strategies to progress patients through their plans of care.
  • Ensures completion of nursing interventions, medical orders, and other related therapies.
  • Prioritizes job duties according to patients' needs and changing acuity levels.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required. 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in applicable state required.
  • CPI certification within three months of hire required for Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, and Central Staffing and Scheduling Office (CSSO).
