Job SummaryThe successful candidate will perform a variety of screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in a safe and efficient manner, reviewing and transmitting images and reports to appropriate physicians.
Key Responsibilities- Perform mammography procedures, documenting patient assessment and history, and providing patient education.
- Apply the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice and demonstrate competence in all relevant skills for a Mammographer.
- Comply with governing regulations and escalate unusual situations to the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and manage equipment concerns, including engaging service vendors.
- Stock and clean exam rooms/work areas, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum one year of experience as a Mammographer.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Mammography Technologist.
- Radiologic Technologist Certification.
- Basic Life Support required at hire.
- Two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Registration in multiple disciplines.
