As a Critical Care Physician Assistant, you will work collaboratively with our physicians, surgeons, residents, and nursing staff to provide exceptional patient care.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assist critical care staff in obtaining comprehensive patient histories and performing physical exams
  • Participate in daily rounds and contribute to the development and execution of patient care plans
  • Order, perform, and interpret bedside interventions, diagnostic procedures, and laboratory tests
  • Provide instruction and education to meet patient needs
  • Engage in continuous learning and teaching with ICU staff
  • Participate in patient rounds and respond to nursing or acute care calls

**Requirements:**

  • Current New York State license as a Physician Assistant or ability to obtain state licensure
  • Education: Satisfactory completion of a program for the training of physician assistants approved by the New York State Education Department and accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) and nationally certified by the NCCPA
  • Minimum of 3 years Critical Care experience required; experience in Hospitalist, Cardiology, or Surgery preferred
  • Competence in computer/information systems use and management
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and Infection Control certification
