We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill an Assistant Professor of Research position in the Division of Medical Oncology at the Keck School of Medicine.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-class research university and contribute to the development of innovative cancer therapies.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct research and lead research projects related to cancer immunotherapy, with a focus on developing chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-engineered T cells and other cellular therapy approaches for the treatment of solid tumors.
- Interrogate the tumor microenvironment for identification/validation of rational combination therapies.
- Summarize research results and prepare manuscripts for publication.
- Organize results for use as preliminary data for grant applications.
- Contribute to lab administrative responsibilities.
- Supervise and mentor postdocs, graduate and undergraduate students, and other trainees in lab setting.
- Work with faculty supervisor and head principal investigator to draft and submit grant proposals to federal agencies.
- Ph.D. in biological sciences with postdoctoral research experience.
- Strong research skills and interest in immune-biology and cancer research.
