Pharmacy Technician

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and customer service. You will work closely with pharmacists to assist with prescription filling, patient counseling, and other pharmacy-related tasks.

• Assist pharmacists with prescription filling, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs
• Verify medication accuracy and check for potential interactions
• Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
• Operate pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, and process prescriptions
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals
• Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on industry developments

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
• Preferred: six months of experience in a retail environment, prior work experience with Walgreens, good math skills, and knowledge of store inventory control
• PTCB certification is preferred
